The first battle scene is pretty damn dramatic, but after that it just gets mundane. Then they're holed up waiting for an opportunity to cut the line but decide to bug out. The trip in is a bit unnerving as you realize they're facing death. It's all happy joy and no real intensity.

It's a made for TV movie, but I had high hopes considering this group was the "most highly decorated British patrol since the Boer war." It starts off as we meet the soldiers as civilians and see them ready themselves for war. Against impressive odds, they manage to fight their way out, Bean is captured but makes it home alive, the end. They find the line (next to a road), but they also find a flock of Iraqi soldiers right next to their position so they have to lay low. The protagonist is part of an eight man team of SAS soldiers dropped behind the lines (with 200lbs of equipment each) to disrupt a communications line. So this guy, Andy McNab, writes a book about his experience in the first gulf war. However, if you haven't seen a movie in a very long time and are re-discovering it then exceptions may be made. Keeping this sub's special character means sharing the experience of seeing a movie the first time.Only post movies that you have seen for the FIRST time.
